anthony micallef : sexy as tits paintings.

this is antony micallef...he is my favourite artist. he has recently forged a friendship with banksy which annoys me because banksy annoys me a bit ("hey kids, McDonalds is SHIT yeah? do you know who else is SHIT? the POLICE yeah? and war? war is really SHIT") and anthony's work is getting a bit "logos are SHIT yeah?" but his early stuff is BOOM.

i love this picture...he most likely traced it off that poster that most boys have but he's made it so sexy and beautiful i think that's ok. my ex-boyfriend had this poster on his wall in the first year of our relationship so i have fond memories of these ladies....specially the one with the short hair.

i wish i had painted this....i really really do. i love how he paints, all fluffy and smudgy and faded.....his prints go for about £6000 and i'm always in some sort of constant ebay battle for his book. one day, when i have my own house and all that money i'm probably going to have, i'll buy one and hang it over my bed.

currently working on: a cross stitch of the eiffel tower and one of a robot which is pretty, preeeetty big. i meant to do it on holiday but kept getting distracted by the pool and CSI marathons....yush.
